Next week, May 23-25, I will be on the Gold Coast attending the National Senior Pastor’s Gathering hosted by CrossLife Baptist Church. This is an annual gathering of senior pastors from larger Baptist churches across Australia to encourage one another as we learn from each other.

In the eight years that I have been the senior pastor GBC I have found these three days to be some of the most fruitful, life-giving, and refreshing days in my ministry calendar. The theme of this year’s gathering is “For a future generation” and is taken from Psalm 102:18,

”Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord.”

I am looking forward to catching up with colleagues and friends in ministry, the opportunity to learn from them, and bringing back ideas and insights that may shape the ways in which we do things here too.
