As I mentioned last week I was on the Gold Coast these last few days at the National Senior Pastor’s Gathering; an annual get-together of Baptist pastors of larger churches across the country.
There were representatives from everywhere (except from the NT) along with the Directors of Ministry of the various Associations and Unions and other national Baptist organisations (e.g., Baptist World Aid). The gathering is peer-driven so we had opportunities to hear from others on various topics (e.g., staff culture, trends in society, succession planning, our post-COVID experience, etc.) which was good, but the best part is always the conversations over morning tea, lunch, dinner and any other free time. I caught up with good friends in various parts of the country and got to know some people that I hadn’t gotten to know at previous gatherings.
Thank you to all who prayed for me specifically this week at the gathering; it was a refreshing and encouraging time away and I was thankful for the chance to attend.
I’m looking forward to seeing you Sunday as Rox wraps up our series on the Holy Spirit and we farewell Belinda to her new role.
It’s going to be a big day!
