This week we are privileged to have Melissa Lipsett with us all day.

Melissa is the CEO of Baptist World Aid and will be preaching in our morning congregation and speaking to our evening congregation over dinner. I’ve had the chance to meet Melissa on a few occasions now and am looking forward to what she will share with us as a community of faith. Melissa has a wealth of experience in leadership and a commitment to the work of God in her life, the church, and around the world.

It’s an opportunity for us to strengthen our relationship with BWA – we have been supporting their work in Lebanon since the beginning of the Syrian conflict; over a decade now!

It is also an opportunity for us to reflect on how we can find our place in God’s mission in a global perspective as part of the sermon series we began last week. Melissa will not be speaking specifically about our theme but believe that we will learn a lot from what she has to say.

Let me encourage you to come prepared to warmly welcome Melissa and to learn from her as we hear some of what God has placed on her heart.
