It’s been a busy couple of weeks!
Two weeks ago the Old Testament Overview course began on Monday nights with just over 50 people from GBC.
On Wednesday night we held the GBC Annual Dinner for the first time since 2020 (just weeks before lockdown started). About a hundred of us gathered for a meal and an opportunity to meet others in our community of faith we might not usually. I really appreciated the meal, the conversation, and the chance to share some of what is on my heart for our community. My message will be published shortly as a special edition sermon podcast whereever you listen to your podcasts.
I also have an opportunity to be involved in wider ministry. This weekend I am speaking at a young adults camp for Narwee Baptist Church (something I haven’t done for a while) and I’m really looking forward to that as well as some training for preachers that begins next week with Transform Southern Sydney (the regional expression of the Baptist Association). I’m looking forward to sharing some of my experience with other preachers.
And this is all on top of the initial work on our strategic priorities in preparation for our March 26 member’s meeting. One of our focus areas is Spiritual Journey and we have created a short survey to gather some feedback from our community of faith – you!
You can find the link to the Spiritual Journey (very quick) survey HERE. It will be open for a week and I’d love if you could take a few minutes and help us by providing us with some feedback.
It's been a busy start to the year, but I am expectant that in the midst of it all, God is at work!
