As we enter spring I am aware of the hopefulness associated with the season; a season of new birth, new life, new shoots. The weather warms and the barren branches start to show green and we begin thinking of long, sunny evenings, days at the beach, and the opportunity of a break over summer. This is resurrection played out for us; the plan of God in stop-motion. All things that are dead, barren, cold, and dry will be - ultimately - refreshed, renewed, reborn.
As you walk somewhere 5 km from your home (perhaps even with a friend) be on the lookout for signs of spring and, when you see them, remember that a divine spring is coming, where everything - everything - will be made new.
Happy spring-watching (and to all you dads out there, I hope you have a great weekend with your family!).
