Karen Watkins
Karen joined GBC Staff in March 2016 as Office Admin/Receptionist/PA and over time this has evolved into an Executive Assistant role to Marc Rader and liaison between staff, CLT, and Section Leaders. Karen assists Marc in the admin for all his ministry areas and helps to implement the vision of GBC’s Leadership. As the “keeper” of Marc’s diary Karen manages his resource of time and as the “gateway” she’s your point of contact – If you’d like to meet with Marc, contact her!
In June 2021 Karen added to her portfolio with the role of Care Coordinator – leading the GBC Cares team as they care for our GBC community through meals, practical, follow-up, prayer and visitation. Karen keeps the admin wheels moving in the background!
An ex-military spouse, Karen moved 23 times in 24 years, in Australia and overseas. Blessed to meet people from all walks of life. Now, she is putting down roots in the Shire. Karen has two children in their late teens.
What do you love about GBC?
I love the “can do” attitude and the buzz that comes when we are all serving together using our skills and resources to get on with what’s important - changing lives for Jesus!
